Steven Weinberg
American theoretical physicist who shared the 1979 Nobel Prize with Abdus Salam and Sheldon Glashow. His research and books helped explain both the smallest particles and the early universe.
Early life
Bronx science student
Attended the Bronx High School of Science in the same graduating class as Sheldon Glashow.
Physics education
Studied at Cornell and Copenhagen before completing his doctorate at Princeton in 1957.
