Joshua Angrist

American-Israeli economist whose research uses natural and quasi-experiments to study education, work and public policy. He shared the 2021 economics Nobel for methodological contributions to causal analysis.

Raised in Pittsburgh, he studied economics at Oberlin and completed his doctorate at Princeton, examining the Vietnam-era draft lottery.
