Early life

Education

Grew up in Kandal Province, completed high school and learned Khmer and French shorthand before working as a secretary.

Career

  1. 1984

    Refugee camp

    Joined research into refugees’ experiences near the Thai border.

  2. 1985

    Support centre

    Established the Khmer People’s Depression Relief Centre with her husband.

  3. 1993

    Return to Cambodia

    Established Future Light Orphanage.
