Yelena Serova

Yelena Serova is a Russian former cosmonaut who served on ISS Expeditions 41 and 42. After spaceflight she entered parliamentary politics.

Early life

Engineering education

Graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 2001 and completed further studies in economics in 2003.

Career

    Cosmonaut selection

    Selected after working as an engineer.

    ISS mission

    Launched on Soyuz TMA-14M and spent 167 days in space.

  3. 2016

    Politics

    Left the cosmonaut corps and entered the State Duma.
