Wajdi Mouawad
Wajdi Mouawad is a Lebanese-Canadian playwright, actor and director. Displacement, family secrets and the aftermath of violence recur throughout his theatre.
Early life
Leaving Lebanon
His family fled the civil war, living in France before settling in Montreal.
Acting studies
Graduated from Canada’s National Theatre School in 1991.
