Tadahiro Nomura
Japanese judoka whose speed and throwing technique brought Olympic gold in Atlanta, Sydney and Athens. He also became world champion in 1997.
Early life
Judo family
His grandfather taught judo, his father coached it and his uncle Toyokazu was an Olympic champion.
First lessons
Began training at his grandfather’s dojo at six before studying at Tenri University.
