Shirin Neshat
Shirin Neshat is an Iranian-born visual artist working in photography, video and cinema. She often uses paired images, Persian writing and music to explore identity and political control.
Early life
Qazvin childhood
Grew up as one of five children, with a physician father and homemaker mother.

Moved to the United States and completed art degrees at Berkeley.
