Roger Milla was a Cameroon forward whose goals and corner-flag dances made him a worldwide football favourite. His most famous World Cup appearances came at ages when most forwards had retired.

Family
His father’s railway work meant the family moved around Cameroon.

Played youth football in Douala and also excelled at school high jump.
