Peter Gabriel is a British musician who moved from theatrical progressive rock with Genesis to an experimental solo career. His recordings and projects brought electronic production into contact with musicians from many traditions.

Early life

Surrey childhood

Grew up in Surrey and learned piano and drums.

School band

Co-founded Genesis with fellow pupils at Charterhouse.

    Genesis frontman
