Nora Aunor
Nora Aunor moved from singing competitions and popular musicals into some of Philippine cinema’s most demanding dramatic roles. Her restrained performances made her a defining screen presence.
Early life
Bicol childhood
Grew up in Iriga, selling water and peanuts to help her family.
Learning to sing
Her grandmother and aunt encouraged her singing before she entered radio competitions.
