Nilima Sheikh is an Indian artist who draws on miniature painting, Asian scroll traditions and historical research.

Early life

History studies

Studied history at Delhi University before entering art school.

Baroda training

Completed fine-art training in Baroda in 1971, studying with K. G. Subramanyan.

Career

    First exhibitions

    Began showing her work while training in Baroda.
