Early life

Pasig and Pandacan

Born in Pasig and raised in Pandacan, he studied in Manila. His father’s imprisonment for possessing revolutionary writing formed part of the family’s political background.

    Serial publication

    Began publishing Banaag at Sikat in a labour periodical.

    Provincial leadership

    Was elected governor of Rizal.

  3. 1918

    Nueva Vizcaya

    Was appointed governor of the province.
