Judea Pearl
Judea Pearl is an Israeli-born American computer scientist known for Bayesian networks and mathematical approaches to causation. His work received the 2011 Turing Award.
Early life
Engineering foundations
Earned an electrical engineering degree at the Technion in 1960 before moving to the United States.
Graduate study
Completed a master’s degree in 1961 and a doctorate at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1965.

Worked on electronic memory systems before concentrating on artificial intelligence.
