John Loughborough Pearson was a British architect known for church design, stone vaulting and the adaptation of medieval architectural forms.

Apprenticeship

Grew up in Durham and trained with Ignatius Bonomi from the age of fourteen.

Career

    Designed St Anne’s at Ellerker.

    Completed St Peter’s, an important development in his vaulted church designs.
