Joan Miró
Joan Miró was a Catalan painter, sculptor and printmaker associated with Surrealism. His work reduced figures and landscapes to bold signs while retaining connections to Catalonia and the natural world.
Early life
Barcelona training
Studied art while also receiving commercial training at his family’s urging.

Time at the family farm became a lasting source of imagery.
