Hideo Nomo
Hideo Nomo is a Japanese former pitcher who became an international star with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He won rookie honours in both Japan and the United States.

Grew up in Osaka, where his father worked in fishing and postal delivery and his mother in a supermarket.

Developed his pitching with Nippon Steel's team after high school.
