Early life

Education

Studied in Raipur and Nagpur before attending Aligarh Muslim University.

Early writing

Began writing poetry and adopted Tanvir as his pen name.

Career

    Worked at All India Radio and became involved in theatre.

    European training

    Studied theatre in Britain before returning to India.

    Naya Theatre

    Established a company that worked closely with Chhattisgarhi performers.
