    CWI and Python

    Worked on ABC and other research projects before releasing Python publicly in 1991.

    American technology career

    Worked at research organisations and companies including Google and Dropbox while continuing Python development.

  3. 2020–2026

    Microsoft

    Returned from retirement to work as a Distinguished Engineer before retiring again in 2026.
