Germana Marucelli

Germana Marucelli was an Italian designer whose collections engaged with painting, sculpture and optical art. Her Milan atelier also became a meeting place for cultural figures.

Early life

Craft upbringing

Born into a family of craftspeople in Settignano, she began an apprenticeship in her uncle’s atelier at eleven.

Career

    Opened her own fashion house.

    Participated in the historic Sala Bianca fashion presentation.

    Reduced her commercial work after presenting her last collection.
