Francisco Zenteno Bujáidar

Francisco Zenteno Bujáidar was a Mexican painter, illustrator and organiser who worked to widen access to art.

Early life

Training

Grew up in Puebla and studied at Madrid’s Real Academia de San Fernando from 1951 to 1954.

Career

  1. 1955–1957

    Uruapan mural

    Painted the apse of Cristo Rey parish.

  2. 1960s

    Illustration and teaching

    Worked on publications and taught at Universidad Iberoamericana.

  3. 1970s

    Tepito Arte Acá

    Helped establish the community art collective.
