Francisco Ruiz-Tagle
Francisco Ruiz-Tagle held municipal, legislative and ministerial posts during Chile’s early republic. His provisional presidency lasted only weeks amid the political conflict of 1830.

Born into a royalist family, he entered the militia in youth before moving towards support for independence.
