Francisco Antonio Pinto was a Chilean lawyer, soldier and president associated with the independence movement.

Early life

Education

Studied at the Convictorio Carolino and Real Universidad de San Felipe, qualifying as a lawyer in 1808.

Career

    Sought support abroad for Chilean independence.

    Became minister of government and foreign affairs.
