Emilio Cavallini made hosiery a prominent part of fashion design through bold patterns and experimental production. He later extended techniques associated with tights into full-body garments and artworks.

From economics to fashion

Left university studies in Florence and travelled to London, where contact with Mary Quant helped develop his interest in hosiery.
