Early life

Family trade

Grew up in Milan and began working in his father’s shoe business at fourteen. Travel to London exposed him to the energy of Carnaby Street and Kensington Market.

Career

  1. 1962

    Early design success

    A colourful waterproof overshoe helped finance further travel.

  2. 1967

    First Milan store

    Opened a shop in Galleria Passarella.

  3. 1970

    Own label

    Launched clothing under the Fiorucci name.

Personal outlook
