Grew up in Christchurch and excelled at cricket and several other sports at Linwood High School.

Career

    Canterbury debut

    Entered first-class cricket while still at school.

    Test debut

    Began his international career in South Africa.

    One hundred wickets

    Reached the milestone in his final Test, at The Oval.
