Early life

Education

Grew up in Johannesburg, attended Parktown High School for Girls and completed a degree in botany and zoology at Witwatersrand in 1952.

Career

  1. 1953–1955

    Medical art

    Worked as a biochemist and medical artist at Witwatersrand.

  2. 1957–1985

    Botanical illustration

    Worked for the university’s Botany Department.

  3. 1985

    Museum work

    Joined the Geological Survey Museum in Pretoria as an artist.
