Annada Shankar Ray
Indian writer who worked in Bengali and Odia while also serving in the civil administration. His literary output joined travel writing, social criticism, fiction and poetry.
Early life
Education in Cuttack
Studied English at Ravenshaw College and came first in the Indian Civil Service examination in 1927. His early literary activity included translation.
