A. A. Milne was a British author and playwright whose children’s stories grew from family play and the countryside around his Sussex home. His literary career began long before Winnie-the-Pooh.
Early life
A schoolmaster’s son
Grew up in London at the school run by his father.
Mathematics and writing
Studied mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge, and edited the student magazine Granta.
